922,077. Respiratory masks. P. R. LAGUE, and A. DYNES. Sept. 29, 1961 [Sept. 16, 1960], No. 31885/60. Class 81 (2). A respiratory mask comprises a face-contacting frame 2 to which a front frame 1 is hinged, a filter pad 4 being gripped between the frames when they are closed. The front of the face-contacting frame is formed by a grid 8, 9. The front frame is hinged to the lowermost part of the face-contacting frame which has exterior ribs 11 which engage with corresponding recesses in the front frame to secure the frames in closed position. The front frame has a grid 14, 15. A wire loop 16 prevents deformation by the nose of the uppermost portion of the face-contacting edge 3 of the face-contacting frame. The frames may be made of nylon or polypropylene.
