Abstract
Granulated light-coloured rubber fillers are produced by precipitating the filler from aqueous solution, adding to the aqueous suspension a latex containing 0,2 to 3% by weight of rubber or a synthetic elastomer, related to the solid content of the suspension, removing excess water, granulating and drying. From 1 to 3% of a protective colloid, e.g. casein, may be added to the rubber latex. The filler may be silica, alkaline earth metal or aluminium silicates, or alkali metal aluminosilicates.ALSO:Rubber granulates containing light-coloured fillers are produced by precipitating the filler from aqueous solution, adding to the aqueous suspension a latex containing 0,2 to 3% by weight of rubber or a synthetic elastomer, based on the solid content of the suspension, removing excess water, granulating and drying. From 1 to 3% of a protective colloid, e.g. casein, may be added to the rubber latex. The filler may be silica, alkaline earth metal or aluminium silicates, or alkali metal alumino silicates.
