Class 79(1) [Also in Group XXIII] A drill carrying vehicle 10 comprises a deck 65, a turret post 13 fixed to the deck and defining a sump 18 for hydraulic fluid, a turret cylinder 12 sleeving over the post and carrying a hydraulically powered drill boom 14,. and conduits 141, 145 connecting between the sump and actuating means 16, 17 for the boom. The conduits are connected to a pump 19 driven by an air motor and to a control panel 143. The boom is raised and lowered. by supplying fluid from the panel to operating cylinders 106. The boom is swung horizontally about the turret axis by supplying fluid from the pump through a control box 70 to an actuating cylinder 116, the field of swing being moved by connecting the end 125 of the cylinder ram 124 to a selected pair of holes in a series of holes 127, 128 in flanges 94, 129 on the turret cylinder. The vehicle has tracks 21 supported by axles 28 on a cross shaft 22, each track being independently driven by an air motor 39 and gearing 41. One edge of the deck is supported by the cross-shaft, and the other edge is connected by hydraulic members 68 to struts 61 on track frames 23. Fluid is supplied to the members 68 from the control box, the arrangement permitting the tracks to pivot independently about the cross shaft 22, to be locked in a position, or to be adjusted in angular position relative the deck.
