Abstract
928,878. Thermo-electric devices. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. Feb. 27, 1962 [March 28, 1961], No. 7646/62. Class 37. A cascade arrangement using the Peltier effect comprises a plurality of stages in good thermal exchange relationship and each stage except the coldest is electrically divided into two parts; the operating current traverses the first part of all the stages in succession from the hottest to the coldest and the second part of all the stages in succession from the coldest to the hottest, the electrical connections being arranged in each case between a cold junction of the hotter stage and a hot junction of the colder stage. The electrical inter-stage connections and supply connections 6, 7 are provided by flexible conductors 13, such as Litz wires.
