Abstract

927,148. Chain slings. K. E. NILSSON. Jan. 18, 1962 [Jan. 19, 1961], No. 1815/62. Class 78 (4). A sling for lifting material such as stones is formed of chains fixedly joined to form a chain net including an endless chain 1 (Fig. 1), adapted to form the confining edge of a bag formed by the net when lifted, and the net is such that it can be laid flat on the ground when it is to be loaded. As shown, end loops 1<SP>1</SP>, 1<SP>11</SP> serve to lift the chain. They may be connected to the spreader 6 shown in Fig. 3. The hooks 7 of the spreader may be shaped to permit the supporting loops to slide.
