Abstract

926,231. Agricultural implements. SOUTH AFRICAN FARM IMPLEMENT MANUFACTURERS Ltd. Aug. 31, 1959 [Sept. 11, 1958], No. 29133/58. Class 6(1). An agricultural implement is provided with pins 7 for attachment to a tractor draft links, the pins 7 being mounted on levers 6 pivoted on bracket 3, the levers 6 being connected by a cable 9 which passes over a quadrant 10 which can be adjusted vertically to tighten or slacken the cable. By virtue of the pivotal levers 6 the implement is free to rise and fall about a fore-and-aft axis. By tightening the cable most of the weight of the implement can be transferred from ground wheels (not shown) to the power lift. To prevent lateral tilting a pin 30 may be used to lock the quadrant and a clamp 42 may be used to clamp the cable on the quadrant.
