The upper deck of an omnibus comprises transverse bearers 11 accommodated under the seats 20 the floor sections 12 being supported on the flanges 11<SP>1</SP> of the bearers 11. The bearers (Fig. 2) are supported at one side of the vehicle by the body side 15 and at the other side by the longitudinal girder 13<SP>1</SP> which also supports one side of the upper gangway 14.
