Abstract

913,127. Nozzles. MEYER MANUFACTURING CO., GEO. J. Aug. 23, 1960 [March 30, 1960], No. 29073/60. Class 69 (3). A nozzle nipple 13 screwed to a header 10 has a flexible tip 18, e.g. of rubber, with a liquid outlet slit 27 which closes on release of liquid pressure. A cylindrical wall of the tip embraces a part 15 of the nipple and is itself embraced by a metal ring 22. A recess 29 is provided immediately behind the tip outlet. The axis of the stream emitted through the slit 27 constantly varies to produce a non- stable stream. A number of such nozzles may be spaced along the header and form part of a bottle-washing machine.
