[Also in Group XXVI] A sliding component of graphite &c. for a bearing or seal comprises recesses in the component's surface containing a dry lubricant such as boron nitride. The nitride may be ground and mixed with a heat-resistant adhesive before insertion in slits or holes drilled in the surface.
