906,087. Latches. STANLEY WORKS. March 3, 1960 [March 3, 1959; June 18, 1959], No. 7523/60. Class 44. A latch assembly includes a latch 8 adapted to be mounted in a recess in a wall 4 and a keeper 12 securable to a door 2, the latch including a C-shaped bolt 24 biased by toggle means 48 and extending through an aperture in a faceplate 14, and a side-plate 18 extending round the corner of the door. When a roller 70 of the keeper strikes the bolt 24 which is pivotally mounted at 26, a lock member 52 can be moved by a knob 54 to lock the assembly. A hole 51 in the side-plate 18 allows unlocking from inside the door. Specification 904,420 is referred to.
