904,585. Storing liquifled gases. HOWALDTSWERKE A.G., KIELER. Sept. 1, 1960 [Sept. 5, 1959], No. 30151/60. Class 8(2). [Also in Group XXXIII] The holds of a liquified gas tanker are lined with heat insulating material 3, 5 and the cargo tanks 2 are supported in a manner which allows for expansion and contraction by bevelled supports 8, on the tanks, and convex guides 9 on the lining, the bottom of the holds are provided with channels 6 which accommodate mating protrusions on the tanks. Each tank is provided with interior reinforcement 7. Two tanks may be disposed side by side in the transverse plane of the tanker in which case the protrusion is dispensed with and each tank is provided with facets which co-operate with facets formed in the lining on the hold bottom.
