Abstract
Aqueous, injectable, heat-sterilized solutions comprising Vitamin D and a calcium salt in which the Vitamin D is present as an ester with a fatty acid of not more than 8 (preferably 2-5) carbon atoms contain as solubilizing agent a mono-fatty acid ester of a polyalkylene oxide, or a partial ester of a fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol or an anhydride of such an alcohol etherified with a polyalkylene oxide. Specified calcium salts are the gluconate, glucoheptonate, levulinate, raccharrate and methionate. Water-soluble vitamins, e.g. ascorbic acid and B-group vitamins and salts of trace elements may also be present.
