Abstract
Finely divided silicas are treated with organo-halo silanes, e.g. a mixture of methyl trichloro- and dimethyl dichloro-silane to give a dispersion of methyl polysiloxanes. Specifications 782,111 and 873,804 are referred to.ALSO:Building material compositions contain an organo polysiloxane powder obtained by treating finely divided silica with organo-halosilanes. The building materials include plasters, concretes, asbestos cement, magnesia cements, and gypsum and anhydrite compositions. Specifications 782,111 and 873,804 are referred to.
