Abstract

872,137. Brassieres. FORMFIT CO. June 23, 1959 [July 28, 1958], No. 21547/59. Class 141 Elastic strips 18 are secured along the side and top edges of the breast cups of a brassiere and are each formed with a loop 20 for connection with the respective shoulder strap. The strips are connected at the front by an openwork seam 24, and each cup is secured to the adjacent portion 28 of the body-encircling band by a seam 32 formed with elastic thread. The side and back portions 26, 36 of the body-encircling band are elastic in the horizontal direction and the elastic rear portions 34 of the shoulder straps are secured along the upper edge of the back portion.
