Abstract

879,109. Spring clips; hinges and pivots; cotters. F.T. PRODUCTS Ltd. Jan. 31, 1958, No. 3636/57. Classes 44, 65(2) and 89(2). A fastener comprises a single strip of flat resilient material bent about a line transverse of the strip so as to have a head 11 disposed at least approximately at right angles to a body 12, the head being formed with a hole and the body with a bifurcation dividing the body into two snap-engaging jaws 15, 16 the bifurcation running out of the free-end of the body. The fastener is used for securing an apertured member 19 to a cranked rod 21. As shown a lug 14 is bent from the head to engage the member 19 and this may have a lip at its free end. The lug can be omitted if desired.
