868,093. Fuel injection valves. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG A.G. May 30, 1958 [July 5, 1957], No. 17288/58. Class 7(3). A fuel injection nozzle comprises a needle valve with an upper portion 2 which is a sliding fit in the nozzle body 1, and an intermediate portion 6 which slides with clearance in the body and has formed thereon helical grooves or projections 7 by means of which the flow of fuel causes the needle valve to rotate, the lower end of the portion 6 forming the seating cone of the needle. A pin 21 on the needle upon which the force of the loading spring acts has a small contact surface to reduce the resistance of the spring to the valve rotation.
