Abstract
866,138. Egg yolk separators and Juice squeezers. HEINZERLING, A. Dec. 10, 1959 [July 7, 1959], No. 41992/59. Class 28 (2). The lid of a food container is adapted as a device to separate the yolk of an egg. The broken egg is dropped in the removed cap of a tube 4 where a cup 7 in the base traps the yolk, the white draining through gaps 5 between radial support spokes 6. In another form, Fig. 3, the fitted on cap is made as a conical lemon squeezer 10 on which a lemon half is pressed, the juice and pips being received in a wide annular trough 8 with slots 9 to allow the contents to run through into the container. The cup 7a traps egg yolks. An inner cap 11 may be used.
