849,915. Lawn-mowers. WOLF-GERATE G.m.b.H. Dec. 24, 1956 [Dec. 30, 1955], No. 39167/56. Class 6(3). In a lawn-mower of the type comprising a cutter arm b rotating about a vertical axis beneath a cowl a, and a grass box (not shown), the underside of the cowl is partially closed by a cover-plate c which, together with a deflectorplate a, forms a duct through which the revolving cutter arm b propels an air current, and clippings entrained therein, towards the grass box. For this purpose, the cutter arm may be provided with vanes b<SP>1</SP>. A second deflectorplate L<SP>1</SP> may be provided to taper the duct. The cover- and deflector-plates may be formed as an integral unit, adapted for attachment to the mower.
