Abstract

838,659. Boxes. LEMOINE, H. G. Aug. 19, 1957 [March 14, 1957], No. 8408/57. Class 18. [Also in Group VIII] A lining for a box &c. comprises a sheet of foam material 1 having a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive 2 on both surfaces thereof, a rigid member 4 being secured to one of said surfaces and a detachable cover layer 3 provided on the other surface. In use, the covering layer is removed enabling articles to be pressed onto the adhesive surface and gripped thereby. The cover layer 3 may be replaced by a sheet of deformable and resilient material 6, which may have slots or holes of any desired shape therein, and may be of the same material as sheet 1, or of a decorative material e.g. coloured silk, velveteen, or other decorative textile. Articles are pressed against the material 6 and gripped by the adhesive through the apertures. " Foam material " includes foamed natural or synthetic rubber, or synthetic plastics in elastomeric foamed form e.g. foamed polyethylene.
