Abstract

838,552. Revaporization of liquefied gases. BRITISH OXYGEN CO. Ltd. July 1, 1958 [July 9, 1957], No. 21704/57. Class 8(2). Vaporization of liquid oxygen in an insulated container 11, Fig. 1, having a gas discharge duct 12 is effected by ambient heat conducted through a metal rod 21, Fig. 2, having a head 22 capable of being seated against or unseated from a metal housing 20 secured beneath the container wall according to the position of a cammed rotary valve cock 15 which in the position shown connects the gas discharge duct 12 to a vent duct 18. A 90 degree clockwise rotation of the valve allows the head 22 to become seated and connects duct 12 to a consumer line 19. Further means for unseating the head 22 comprises a bellows capsule 25 subjected to gas pressure in the duct 12, and a further heat source comprises an electric coil 27 the circuit of which controlled by the bridge members 22, 20.
