Abstract
811,817. Delay lines. INTERNATIONAL RESISTANCE CO. April 11, 1957 [April 12, 1956], No. 11909/57. Class 40 (8). A delay line comprises an elongated core 10 carrying at least one strip 12 of conductive material which bears an integral layer 14 of dielectric material, the core and the strip being surrounded by a helical winding 16 of insulated wire. The core may consist of a fibrous material impregnated with an artificial resin. The dielectric layer 14 may be a thin film of polyethylene or polytetrafluorethylene bonded to the strip 12. Leads are attached to either end of the strips and the winding. The whole may be surrounded by a protective tube 22 of e.g. glass or plastic. The core and the protective tube may contain magnetically permeable material.
