Abstract

A waterproofing sheet material as formed from a mixture comprising a linear polymer of butene-1 having an average molecular weight in excess of 20,000 and being at least partly of isotactic structure, a material having a protective action for the polymer against ultra-violet light, an inert inorganic filler and an antioxidant. Specified protective materials are carbon black and bone black, fillers are talc, calcium carbonate and quartz while a resinous polyalkylated phenol monosulphide is used as an antioxidant. The sheets may be used for waterproofing roofs and wooden or masonry structures.
