An electromagnetic switch has an insulating contact-carrying plate secured to the head i of the core a by a keyhole slot n and with its end o engaged by the turned-over end h of the L- shaped yoke.f, g. The armature p is attached to a resilient metal strip q which is secured to the yoke g and spacer s by screws r which pass through a slot or slots in the strip q to allow for adjustment. The plate carries two fixed contacts k and the armature p carries an insulating piece t with two contacts u interconnected by a metal strip w and loaded by a spring v. A back stop x is also provided.
