The armature and contact carrier of an electromagnetic switch may be retained in a position between the attracted and unattracted positions by engageable means between the carrier and a switch mounting plate. The invention is described in its application to the switch of the parent Specification. Specifications 836,572 and 836,575 also are referred to.
