Abstract
809,817. Smoothing D.C. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 22, 1957 [March 27, 1956], No. 9453/57. Class 38 (2). The residual ripple of the output to a D.C. load at 2 of a half-wave rectifier 3 having a smoothing inductance 4 in series, there being a capacitor 6 connected across the load, is further reduced by the connection in parallel with the rectifier and inductance of series-connected resistor 7 and capacitor 8. Capacitor 6 and another capacitor 5 connected between the lines before inductance 4 may be electrolytic.
