758,162. Electrodeposition of fine grain nickel. UDYLITE RESEARCH CORPORATION. Aug. 16, 1954 [Aug. 14, 1953], No. 23839/54. Class 41. Fine grain nickel is electrodeposited from an aqueous acidic solution of at least one nickel salt, e.g. a chloride or chloride-sulphate bath, to which has been added a clear solution produced by reacting approximately equal amounts of coumarin and concentrated sulphuric acid, preferably in a concentration of 0.5 to 3 grams/litre and previously diluted by slow addition to an equal volume of cold water. Bright nickel is produced if in addition there is added a compound containing the group preferably at least 0.5 gram/litre of a benzene sulphonamide or sulphonimide, e.g. saccharin. Specifications 525,847 and 529,825 are referred to.
