746,736. Suspension filing devices. OXFORD FILING SUPPLY CO., Inc. Oct. 7, 1954 [Dec. 1, 1953], No. 28932/54. Class 146(1) A suspension filing device comprises the combination of a pair of fixed parallel members, such as rails 11, and a file folder having a pair of supporting members, such as rods 13, each resting at its ends on the fixed members respectively, the members being complementarily constructed to lock the supporting members on the fixed members when obliquely displaced thereon while leaving them free to be lifted bodily therefrom in a vertical direction at rightangles thereto. As shown in Figs. 2 and 8 the rod 13 has a notch 16 forming a throat 17 to just pass over the head 15 at the top of the rail 11, a narrower portion 14 being engaged by the projections each side of the throat 17 when the rod 13 is obliquely positioned or moved longitudinally of itself. As shown in Fig. 3, the rod 13a has a notch 19a with throat 20 and 20a to just pass over the head 18 of the rail 11a, formed by angularly offset positions, the notch 19a having inclined edges 20, 20a to catch under the overhanging parts of the head 18 in the oblique position. As shown in Fig. 6, the rod 13d is formed with an enlarged head 25 to pass between the edges of a constructed throat of a generally channel-shaped rail 11d having turned in upper edges which will engage over the head 25 in the oblique position of the rod 13d or when it is moved longitudinally of itself.
