Abstract
738,406. Shelves. DEXION, Ltd. Dec. 23, 1953 [Jan. 6, 1953], No. 403/53. Class 52 (1). In a metal shelving arrangement comprising rectangular shelf panels 1 having flanges 2, 3 at their edges and inturned flanges 4, 5 on at least two opposite flanges, supported on a metal framework, adjacent panels may be secured together by a clip device including a plate 17 provided at one end with laterally projecting wings 18 with edges turned over to form lips 19 engageable over the inturned flanges of abutting panels and having a projecting tongue 21 engageable with part of the framework such as a flange 22 of a transverse member; the extremity 23 of the tongue being bent downwardly. The panels have reinforcement members 11<SP>1</SP>, 11<SP>2</SP> of channel section which fit either between the panel and flanges or into each other when turned through 90 degrees. The flanges 2, 3 are separated at the corners by slots 6 and anglesection uprights can be fitted inside or outside the corners. Two panels may be nested when turned face to face and staggered slightly along a diagonal. Specification 620,696, [Group X], is referred to.
