721,977. Plough-mouldboards. TAKAKITA, S., TAKAKITA, S., TAKAKITA, M., TAKAKITA, T., and TAKAKITA, A. Aug. 19, 1952 [Sept. 6, 1951], No. 20814/52. Class 6 (1). A plough-mouldboard comprises a number of narrow metal strips 1 mounted in parallel spaced relationship to constitute a skeleton mouldboard-shape at the rear of the share and regulating means at the rear of the mouldboard to twist the surface by simultaneous angular adjustment of the strips. The strips are loosely mounted on pivot-pins 5 projecting from a plate 3 carrying the share, the plate being extended by a rigid frame 12 carrying a rod 8 passing through a hole in a plate 9 bolted to all of the strips 1 at their rear ends. Plate-like adjusting members 18, 18<SP>1</SP>, are mounted on pins 13, 14 on the frame 12 to press against the uppermost and lowermost strips 1. The members 18 18<SP>1</SP> have forked portions 17 any of which may be engaged with the appropriate pin 14 so that the mouldboard may be both twisted on itself and inclined variably to the share. In a modification Fig. 8, (not shown) the whole mouldboard may be turned either to right or left in addition to being twisted.
