Abstract
The combustion chamber of a liquid or gaseous-fuel furnace (see Group XII) is provided with insertions consisting of mats or lattices formed of balls or windings of wires or strips of an iron alloy of the type chromium 5 to 30 per cent and aluminium 2 to 9 per cent, with or without additions of cobalt, titanium, tantalum, zirconium, molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium or cerium up to a maximum of 2 per cent.
