Abstract

696,611. Double-twist spindles. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES. July 24, 1951 [Aug. 19, 1950], No. 17517/51. Class- 120(ii) A textile double-twist spindle comprises. a shaft in two parts joined together by a sleeve wherein a thread-guiding ring is. loosely aranged inside the sleeve at the point at which the thread emerges from one of said parts, the arrangement being such that the thread can run with a single deflection to one of a number of slots in the sleeve. As shown the shaft consists of an upper part 1, a'lower part 2 and a sleeve 3 joining these two parts together. The thread 4 passes through a bore 5 in the part 1, through a thread guiding ring 6 disposed beneath the part 1 and then outwards through one of a number of slots 7 provided in the sleeve 3. The ring 6 may be made of hardened and chromed steel or of a ceramic material.
