Class 143 In a balance weigh beam, the setting of knife edges al, a2 is adjustable by flexure of the beam adjacent the knife edges by pairs of set screws d which are secured to the beam by brackets e, f, and bear on the beam embracing arms b3, b4 of knife edge supporting blocks b1, b2; the beam being slotted at a3, a4 to facilitate flexure. In the arrangement shown, knife a1 is adjustable in a vertical plane, and knife a2 is adjustable in a horizontal plane, but this arrangement is reversed according to modification described in the Provisional Specification only.
