Abstract

678,906. Lamps. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. May 30, 1951 [June 22, 1950], No. 12727/51. Classes 75(ii) and 75(iv) [Also in Group XIII] The casing of a floodlighting or like projector is cooled by circulating air by means of a fan 14, Fig. 1, through a compartment 2 containing an electric lamp socket 7, and thence past a ring-shaped auxiliary reflector 9 surrounding the neck of the lamp bulb 8 and directing air over the latter and also into contact with the surface of a divergent main reflector 1, which is closed by a light transmitting cover 6 and from the mouth parts of which the air is returned to the fan inlet through a cooling conduit 12 having fins 12a, Fig. 3.
