Abstract
561,355. Lamp-holders. REVO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and REEVES, F. H. Nov. 19, 1942, No. 16358. [Class 38 (i)] - A lighting fitting has a heat-baffle e formed integral with the lampholder e<1> and interposed between the lamp and the supply terminals housed in the casing c and connected to sockets c<1> into which. fit plugs d attached to the lamp-holder. The baffle has a groove e2 on its upper surface in which is a bridge piece g carrying parts of the lamp-connecting gear. In one form, the baffle e fits into the lower part of the casing b which is flanged at b<1> to fit against a flange a<1> on the neck portion a of a reflector. The baffle thus closes the neck through which the holder e<1> protrudes. The bridge piece g fits into an insulating liner h in the groove e<2> and is bolted through the baffle to the flanges a<1>, b<1>. In a modification, the flanges a<1>, b<1> are spaced apart by an annular flange on the baffle projecting between them to deflect heat rising outside the neck a.
