[Class 108(i)] A cliff-face traversing vehicle comprises a carriage 5 rotatably mounted on a platform 9 and supported by stays 7 from the axle 8 on which is mounted a single spherical pneumatic wheel 1. The hauling rope or cable 3 is slidably attached to a coupling rail 2 so that the carriage 5 may be turned about the platform 9 to avoid obstructions. Struts 10A prevent the vehicle capsizing.
