Abstract
639,366. Making cased forms. S.A.G.A. SOC. APPLICAZIONI GOMMA ANTIVIBRANTI. May 27, 1948, No. 14374. Convention date, Aug. 12, 1943. [Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] In a resilient support consisting of rubber parts bonded in situ to metal parts internal tensioning of the rubber due to post vulcanization shrinkage is reduced by deforming the metal parts. A resilient support is formed of a U-shaped metal member 1, 1a and a W-shaped member 2, 2a bonded to a rubber member 3. The metal faces 1, 2 are hollowed to facilitate a permanent reduction in width of the support by a pressing operation to place the rubber in compression.
