Abstract

639,075. Driving belts. WHITTLE, O. L. Dec. 22, 1947, No. 33759. [Class 80 (i)] A fastener for a laminated driving belt 10 has a stem 8 inclined to the lamination face and at one or both ends is at right angles to the lamination face and is screwed to receive a nut or nuts 11 with or without washers 14. The stem may be of flat or round material. The fastener may have the form of a U-shaped staple. As applied to a wide or double belt a securing staple has a long base 16, Fig. 7, and at the screwed ends the legs of the staple are connected by a long washer 14.
