Abstract
636,557. Handle fixings. BAKER, J. May 15, 1947, No. 13119. [Class 61 (i)] In a handle for a hand tool having a tang, in which the handle is bored to receive the tang of the tool which is forced into a screw-cutting die nut at the mouth of the bore and in which the tang engages a bush accommodated in the bore of the handle to compress a spring disposed on the opposite side of the bush, the die nut is fixedly held in the end face of the handle by the handle being moulded about the die nut. According to the Provisional Specification, the die nut may be held in place by rivets or set screws.
