Abstract

634,978. Canisters &c. PATON, CALVERT & CO., Ltd., and MELSHER, F. G. March 19. 1948, No. 8206. [Class 66] The rim of a canister 1, etc. of carboard or metal, etc. has one or more recesses 5 closed by the side of a dished lid 2 frictionally fitting the mouth of the canister which is opened by inserting a thumb-nail into the recess 5 and pressing upwardly against the rim 4 of the lid which may be rolled and is preferably of the same or a smaller diameter than that of the outside of the canister.
