627,085. Piston packing. DANIELS, Ltd., T. H. & J., DANIELS, J. L., and JOHNSON, A. O. R. Feb. 10, 1947, No. 3854 [Classes 122(i) and 122(v)] A packing for a piston or like member 1 comprises a split resilient rubber sealing ring 5 overlying a resilient rubber sealing ring 4, contained in a groove 3 in the piston, the ring 4 being so dimensioned with respect to the groove 3 as to allow clearances 6 at all times. The rings 4, 5 may be contained in a groove in the cylinder wall.
