612,287. Vehicle structure members. PRESSED STEEL CO., Ltd., and MORPHEW, L. R. May 23, 1946, No. 15606. [Class 108 (i)] [Also in Group X] In a sheet metal structure, particularly for vehicles, two channel-section members 21 and 22, of which the upper and lower flanges 11, 23 and 13, 22 respectively lie in common planes, are joined by a member 15, of Z or L section, which has a straight portion over which it is secured to member 21 by its web 15 and flange 17 and a curved portion 14 tangential to the other member 22 to which it is secured by its top and bottom flanges 16 and 17 respectively. In a modification, the member 15 is made integral with the member 22 by splitting it along its length and splaying out the two limbs each to the required radius.
