Abstract
611,270. Strap fasteners. FIKUART, J. April 26, 1946, No. 12586. [Class 44] [Also in Group VII] A fastener for detachably connecting a wrist-band with a watch having spaced sockets 3 at its sides, comprises two pivoted members 6 arranged in one position to engage the sockets, Fig. 3, and in the other position to be freed from them, Fig. 1. In order to limit pivotal movement and to yieldably resist such movement, the pivoted members 6 carry fan-like parts 12, each having a lug 14 at one end and a lip 15 at the other. In the engaging position, Fig. 3, the lip 15 on one part abuts the lug 14 on the other and is yieldably retained in that position by a shallow radial groove adjacent the lug. Another groove is provided-for engagement by the lip in the broken position, Fig. 1, in which the fastener can be removed from the sockets 3 and the strap 4 released.
