[Classes 34(i) and 34(ii)] Separate articles or a web of material to be dried is passed between opposed sets of nozzles 8 separated by heaters 7. Air is supplied from fans 10, 11 and after passing over the heater elements 7 impinges on the material, which is also heated by direct radiation from the elements 7 the heating elements may be steam piping, gas or electric heaters.
