Abstract

550,008. Mackintoshes &c. RAMSDALE, H. H. Aug. 13, 1941. No. 10303. [Class 141] A mackintosh and like outer garment of the type provided with a gutter-like portion b at its lower edge is provided with one or more drain holes d which are normally folded up and secured to the garment, as by press fastenings f, g, but which can be lowered to drain the gutter when desires while the gutter b is spaced from the garment by a plurality of triangular distance pieces c. The gutter b may be formed by folding the lower edge of the garment, or by means of a false hem, and the mouth of the drain tube may have one edge longer than the other, the fastener f being secured to the inside of this longer edge. If desired a separate gutter-like portion with a drain tube may be moulded from indiarubber and secured permanently or detachably to the garment.
