Abstract

546,135. Snap action switches. BROOKHIRST SWITCHGEAR. Ltd., and THORNE. A. R. H. Dec. 25, 1940, No. 18136. [Class 38 (v)] A switch for use where operation at an exact point is necessary, such as on machine tools as a " limit " switch, comprises, Fig. 1, a plunger 22 with metal strip 21 at its' inner end carrying the inner ends of a pair of spring struts 24. the outer ends being supported on lugs bent out from a bridging piece 25 which is apertured to enable the plunger and the springs to pass through it. On movement of the plunger, the bridge is snapped over from one pair of contacts 17 to the other. The springs are subjected to no reversal of curvature.
