508,426. Illuminating inspection-pits for vehicles. GABRIEL, E. P. May 18, 1938, No. 14774. [Class 104 (ii)] [Also in Group XI] A vehicle inspection-pit 5 is fitted at each side with one or more lighting units each comprising a body 10 housing a reflector 25 and one or more electric-lamp holders 15, the body being formed with two windows 12, 20 so arranged that light from the window 12 is directed upwardly on to the vehicle 7 while that from the window 20 is directed downwardly into the interior of the pit to illuminate workbenches 27 therein. The lighting units 10 are secured to guide rails 8 having feet 9 embedded in the side walls of the pit. Specification 379,993 is referred to.
