Abstract

506,376. Multiple delivery pumps; cams. EAJEK, O. Nov. 25,1938, No. 34326. [Class 102 (i)] [ALSO in Group XXIV] In a pump for lubricating-oil or other viscous liquid comprising one or more elements 2 each provided with a delivery piston 3 discharging alternately through two outlets 21, 22 and, making twice as many strokes as a control piston 4 which comes to rest at the middle of each of its strokes, the two pistons being driven by rocker arms 5, 12 pivoted on a spindle 6 and engaged by cams 7, 13 on a driving shaft 8, the rocker arm 12 which actuates the control piston 4 is provided with jaws 16, 17 having piano-parallel surfaces and the cam 13 has a profile built up of arcuate portions so arranged that it engages the planoparallel surfaces without clearance in all of its positions. The strokes of the delivery piston 3 may be controlled by means of a screw 11. As shown in Fig. 2, the cam 13 comprises four arcuate portions ab, cd, ef, gh, concentric about the axis A of the driving shaft 8, and four eccentric arcuate portions bc, de, fg, ha.
