506,222. Asbestos - cement sheets. GIBSON, W. F. May 16, 1938, No. 14595. [Class 87 (i)] An asbestos-cement sheet or tile for roofmg &c. is provided with trough-like channels 1 having flat bottoms 2, 2a, 2b and inclined sides merging through arcuate portions 3 into the surface of the sheet. To allow for overlap, the channels 1 are tapered at one end, and the channel at the right-hand side is wider and the edge 4 lower than at other positions in the sheet. The element may be 3 ft. 6¢ ins. wide, 4 to 10 ft. long and “ in. thick ; the channels may be about 2 ins. deep and 2 ins. wide at the bottom.
