Abstract

Lice &c. in walls, furniture, &c. are destroyed by going over the surfaces with a unipolar electrode carrying high-frequency discharges of sufficiently high tension to destroy the vermin by direct action. The process may be combined with the use of high-frequency sound waves, and with liquid, solid, or gaseous poisonous substances. To provide an easier return path for the currents, metal powder, salt solutions, &c. may be injected into cracks or crevices of the surfaces to be treated.
