Abstract

461,801. Measured-quantities apparatus. KREJCI, K., and KREJCI, E. Aug. 7, 1936, No. 21802. [Class 69 (i)] In apparatus for delivering measured quantities of fluid, of the type in which a float s in the measuring vessel operates automatically a pair of inlet and outlet valves v<1>, v<2> connected to a spring-controlled balance beam m, the measuring vessel depends from a storage vessel b with which it communicates through the inlet, and the balance beam is arranged above the storage vessel, through which pass the rods h<1>, h<2> connecting the beam to the valves. In the construction shown the float is carried by a tube t surrounding the valve rod h<2> and guided in a tube e passing through the vessel b. In the raised position of the float the top of the tube contacts with an adjustable stop l on the rod h<2> to cause the reversal of the valves. A spring-pressed member p has inclined shoulders which engage a nose-piece i on the rod h<l> to give a rapid snap-over action. Several measuring vessels may be fed from the one storage vessel, and when started in succession will continue to deliver the measured quantities one after the other.
